Research project on the relationship between people and objects. Taking as an example the pencil in its archetypal form, the predictability of its formal and functional features allow it to sublimate itself as a direct link between the user and the paper. However, if its structure is changed with the introduction of an irregular lead, the relationship of trust is broken: the position of the writing part is no longer predictable, as is the shape of the sign. The pencil thus becomes present again, inducing the user to constantly adapt their behaviour each time it is sharpened.
