Lunaria
timepass game, 2018
An oak frame wrapped in a sheet of rice paper hides a small stone that is free to move on the surface of an intermediate layer of paper with a hole in it. The game aims at making the stone fall into the hole without the player being able to see the position of the two elements. To play it, one must rely on the sounds produced by the stone rubbing on the paper and will therefore need to find a quiet place, away from distractions, where to use all senses to grasp the subtlest sound vibrations. The game thus opens up to a meditative moment in which the rustle of the stone rolling on the paper and the physical contact with natural materials help to regenerate one's senses.
